10 Most Innovative Meetings 2021

Here’s a look at the top steal-worthy takeaways and lessons learned from the year’s most creative meetings, conferences, trade shows and other business gatherings.

BizBash 10 Most Innovative Meetings

BizBash's 10 Most Innovative Meetings 2021 is sponsored by Bevy, a community event engine fueling virtual, hybrid and in-person events.

In 2020, BizBash’s 10th annual list of Innovative Meetings featured five pre-pandemic, in-person conferences, and five virtual gatherings that had scrambled to showcase innovative ideas when the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted life as we know it.

But for our 2021 list, we made a conscious effort to showcase entirely virtual or hybrid gatherings, a format that’s led to the type of innovation the business event community has rarely seen before. As live events begin making their triumphant return, the strategies and lessons learned on attendee engagement, inclusivity and gamification will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on the way we do business.

For the first time, we’re featuring these meetings in no particular order, as they all bring different strategies and insights to the table. Read on to learn how Walmart, Amazon Web Services, Pinterest, HP and six other brands pulled off effective events during an unprecedented year.

About the list: This annual feature is compiled by our editorial team using a variety of resources, beginning with sifting through dozens of public nominations and conducting internal research on all meetings nominated. While our features may be sponsored by standout companies, to ensure the list remains impartial, sponsors do not have the ability to review or curate any part of the list themselves. We encourage you to subscribe to our BizBash Buzz newsletter and follow @BizBash on social media to stay informed when nominations for future BizBash lists and features go live. We welcome any feedback you may have—you can email us here.
