LONDON, ONTARIO: The National Poultry Show will return to the Western Fair District Agriplex from April 6-7, 2022. Western Fair Association and the Poultry Industry Council have hosted a series of virtual events over the last 17 months, but next year’s event will mark the group’s first in-person gathering since 2019. It will be one of the first live trade shows returning to the Agriplex, which has been serving as a field hospital and vaccination center.
MONTREAL: What The Pop!, a series of free pop-up art events, will run on select Saturdays in August and September starting this past weekend. The first three weekends are featuring an art exhibition at Centre St Jax, while the final day will offer live musical performances at Riverside. There’s also a virtual art gallery. The event is presented by YES Employment & Entrepreneurship, a nonprofit that provides English-language support services.
C2 Montréal, taking place Oct. 19-21, has unveiled its first round of speakers. The lineup includes Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn, rapper Sarahmée and aerospace engineer Dr. Farah Alibay Aerospace Engineer. The hybrid event, taking place virtually and at TOHU, will feature 80 speakers, 18 digital workshops, 10 experiential labs and other activities.
OTTAWA: The TD Ottawa Jazz Festival will showcase three music series from Aug. 19-22, with both in-person and virtual events. The TD Summer Virtual Festival will feature 17 online shows, while OLG Free the Jazz will feature in-person events at various venues across Ottawa and the Getaway Jazz Experience will feature four free shows at the Barn at Moore Farm in Gatineau.
TORONTO: The Toronto Craft Beer Festival will take place at RendezViews from Sept. 23-26. Playfully named RendezBrews, the festival will serve about 40 to 50 craft beers along with food, and will be spread across the 30,000-square-foot patio with both indoor and outdoor seating.
