Here's a closer look at Los Angeles' newest eateries, drinking spots, hotels, conference areas, private rooms, and other spaces available for events this spring. The new and renovated Los Angeles-area venues are available for corporate parties, weddings, fundraisers, outdoor functions, business dinners, team-building activities, conferences, meetings, and more.
Fairmont Breakers Long Beach

Fairmont Breakers Long Beach opened in November 2024. Nestled in the heart of downtown Long Beach, just 25 miles south of Los Angeles, the landmark hotel underwent a multimillion-dollar transformation, blending historic grandeur with contemporary luxury. Originally built in 1926, the property has been transformed into a lavish retreat featuring 185 guest rooms, including 22 spacious suites, designed with an elegant coastal palate, anchored by deep blue tones and pops of gold and mixed metals to emulate sunlight shimmering on the ocean. Guests can enjoy the 10,000-square-foot Fairmont Spa, along with the city's only rooftop bar, Halo, a colorful space offering 360-degree views stretching from Downtown Los Angeles to Catalina Island. There are also two signature restaurants, including the return of the historic Sky Room. For events, there's 10,000 square feet of flexible event space, ranging from intimate ballrooms to modern meeting rooms and a sunny outdoor reception terrace.

Meryl Streep Center for Performing Artists

The SAG-AFTRA Foundation opened the Meryl Streep Center for Performing Artists in August 2024. Located on the penthouse level of SAG's Wilshire headquarters, the cutting-edge facility—built with the latest technology and equipment—is available for third-party premieres, FYC events, and private screenings for as many as 100 guests, along with receptions, intimate dinners, live podcast recordings, and corporate presentations. Named in honor of actress Meryl Streep, the most philanthropic donor in the foundation’s nearly 40-year history, the new center features a design led by executive director Cyd Wilson, who previously led events at InStyle and People. The crown jewel of the center, the 100-seat Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson Screening Room, features a 200-inch, 4K LG LED Miraclass screen, DCP/DCI technology, and immersive surround sound. Other spaces include the Nicole Kidman Green Room, the Leonardo DiCaprio On-Camera Studio, and the newly relocated and upgraded Don LaFontaine Voiceover Lab.

L’Ermitage Beverly Hills

In celebration of its 50th anniversary this year, the 116-suite L’Ermitage Beverly Hills has unveiled a top-to-bottom transformation led by New York-based Champalimaud Design. The reimagined L’Ermitage aims to introduce a fresh take on understated glamour, with expanded public spaces and a new residential-style design. The renovation also brings two new dining concepts: Costa Covo Osteria (pictured), a modern coastal Italian restaurant; and Alcova, a chic, candlelit lounge tucked just off the lobby. The hotel’s rooftop—opening to the public for the first time this summer—is being reimagined with a refreshed pool experience and the debut of Poza bar and restaurant, featuring panoramic views (the only 360-degree rooftop in Beverly Hills). The hotel will also unveil the Arhaus Terrace, an exclusive event space fully outfitted with Arhaus signature pieces and a new outdoor line.

Holey Moley Golf Club Santa Monica

The eclectic Holey Moley Golf Club opened in Santa Monica in December 2024. The vibrant, art-filled space on Third Street Promenade is the brand’s sixth U.S. location; it features 27 mini-golf holes, a Caddyshack bar mixing signature cocktails, private karaoke rooms, and a second-floor patio. Created by Australia-based entertainment company Funlab, the two-story, 14,000-square-foot space is drenched in retro, pop culture-inspired nostalgia. It can host 21-and-up events for a minimum of 10 guests; group packages include a round of mini-golf, food and drink options, and a dedicated private party area.

Cosetta

Renowned chef and restaurateur Zachary Pollack unveiled his latest restaurant, Cosetta, on Ocean Park Boulevard in Santa Monica on April 1. The Italian restaurant's menu evolves with the market and features items like pizza, seafood, and vegetable-forward dishes. Created in partnership with Studio UNLTD, Cosetta’s design features a sequence of arched colonnades over the bar, a modern homage to classical Italian architecture. The 2,600-square-foot interior, which seats 50, flows into a lush 100-seat patio, framed by glass walls and warm materials in earthy rusts, greens, peaches, and wood.

Studio Eleven43

Studio Eleven43 debuted its new 10,400-square-foot virtual production facility in March. Located on Vine Street in Hollywood, the versatile space is designed to host photo shoots, content creation, product shoots, livestreams, influencer activations, editorial shoots, tastemaker events, and more. Studio A's main stage spans 4,500 square feet and features a 1,150-square-foot, two-wall cyclorama along with a virtual production LED wall; it holds 450 people. Studio B, which holds 200, is a 1,550-square-foot soundproof stage with a single-wall cyclorama. The facility is also equipped with production suites, a kitchen, bathrooms, makeup and hair stations, and an experienced in-house team of live event producers, audiovisual technicians, and fabricators.

Settecento

Settecento opened in Downtown Los Angeles in January. Located in the historical Maguire Gardens beside the Los Angeles Public Library, the restaurant takes over the popular Cafe Pinot space, which closed in 2019. The new Italian eatery from Global Dining Group—the team behind La Bohème in West Hollywood and 1212 in Santa Monica—has an indoor space and a sprawling outdoor patio surrounded by art deco details and cascading fountains. Settecento's first floor spans 3,167 square feet; the library patio is 1,397 square feet; and the garden patio is 2,000 square feet—leading to a total capacity of as many as 1,000 guests. For weddings, receptions, and other gatherings, Settecento offers event coordination and menu consultations that celebrate Italy’s culinary heritage.

The Suntory Room at Hotel Bel-Air

The century-old House of Suntory Japanese whisky brand and the iconic Hotel Bel-Air came together to create a new private event space at the property in February. The Suntory Room can be reserved for private whisky tastings, intimate cocktail parties featuring food pairings curated in partnership with the hotel's culinary team, listening sessions, and more. Guests will also have access to rare bottles of the celebrated Japanese whisky. The elegant venue features rich wood-paneled walls, deep-brown leather furniture, expansive Asian-themed wall murals, black-and-white images of the House of Suntory's visionary master blenders and artisans, bonsai trees, and a wood-burning fireplace. There's also an outdoor terrace outfitted with tables and chairs surrounding a fire pit. The Suntory Room can be reserved for dinners of as many as 18 guests or receptions of 40 guests.

Shutters on the Beach

Shutters on the Beach, a 186-room hotel on the Santa Monica coastline, unveiled its newly reimagined lobby in February. Known as the "Living Room," the space was transformed by design studio Nickey Kehoe, which created a bright, airy ambiance that stays true to the property’s New England beach house charm and color palette. Seating was reconceptualized with guest interaction in mind, while rope-inspired light fixtures and cordage sconces by Tisserant frame the chairs and couch vignettes. Beyond the design, the "NOTEworthy" program has introduced rotating experiences in the Living Room, including exclusive tastings and wine dinners, live sunset music, and an enhanced craft cocktail menu. For events, the hotel's Grand Salon spans 3,645 square feet and holds 400 for receptions; smaller spaces include the 1,078-square-foot Beachside room, the 500-square-foot Oceanside room, a 12-seat private dining room, and the 1,748-square-foot Promenade. There’s also a 2,392-square-foot terrace that seats 150 or holds 250 for standing receptions.

Zouk Los Angeles

Zouk Los Angeles opened in West Hollywood in March. The new nightlife venue is a collaboration between two of the world’s biggest entertainment platforms, Zouk Group and sbe. The 16,500-square-foot space was designed by sbe’s former in-house designer, Christian Schulz, and his team at the boutique design agency studio Collective. Zouk Los Angeles features a full-service bar, a private garden lounge, a special late-night menu, a state-of-the-art sound system, and sleek neo-deco details. The space takes on an East-meets-West concept that draws inspiration from the Roaring '20s and the Warner theaters, with nods to old Hollywood and a twist on modernized elements.

Pacific Catch

Popular Bay Area seafood restaurant Pacific Catch opened its first Los Angeles location in January. Located just steps from the ocean, Pacific Catch Santa Monica features a menu of fresh, sustainable seafood and Pacific Rim-inspired dishes. The 5,500-square-foot space features a 20-seat bar with a 40-seat dining area, a 70-seat main dining room filled with plush ocean-blue booths, a sunny 42-seat outdoor patio, and a 26-seat private dining patio; it seats 200 guests in total. The restaurant was designed in collaboration with Ignisio Studios with the Santa Monica neighborhood in mind, intentionally tailored to bring sunny beachside vibes and a “wave to table” ambiance to guests. Pacific Catch's commitment to sustainability and ocean conservation extends to all aspects of the business: Beyond its commitment to sustainable fishing and seafood sourcing, all Pacific Catch locations offer 100% compostable takeout packaging.

Mastro’s Steakhouse

In March, Mastro's Steakhouse in Beverly Hills debuted a new expansion to its multistory venue. The new Garden at The Penthouse at Mastro’s Steakhouse evokes the feel of a private club; the third-floor space is accessible via a private elevator and is surrounded by lush greenery, seasonal floral garlands, and a 60-square-foot living moss wall. The 1,654-square-foot rooftop garden offers seating for 80 guests or can accommodate up to 115 for standing events. It overlooks the Beverly Hills skyline and features a retractable roof. The space can be rented for intimate, private events, which can have access to Mastro's nightly entertainment, including pianists, vocalists, DJs, and experimental electric violinists.

Grind House at Vintage Land

Vintage Land, home of the Los Feliz Flea Market, announced the grand opening of its brand-new indoor skate park, Grind House, in late March. The membership-based space allows skaters of all levels to perfect their skills on ramps, grind rails, half-pipes, and street-style elements, as well as attend special events and training sessions. Various areas of Vintage Land can be rented for film and photo shoots, corporate and private events, product launches, brand activations, outdoor rooftop events, and more. It offers a total of 150,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor space, along with covered on-site parking.

The Benjamin Hollywood

The Benjamin opened in Hollywood last June. As the debut restaurant from Ben Shenassafar, co-founder of streetwear brand The Hundreds, alongside partners Kate Burr and Jared Meisler, the upscale American bar and restaurant aims to be a contemporary homage to classic restaurant hangouts. For private dining and events, the main dining room seats 60 or holds 100 for standing receptions, while the upstairs Moon Room can be rented out for as many as 150 people standing. The patio (pictured), which is only available for private bookings, seats 65 or holds 200 for a standing reception. Large dinner parties—for groups between seven to 30 guests—are also seated on the patio and offered a family-style dinner menu.
